A chick for Anna

This is a card that I will have Anna make when she comes to stamp.  The background is repeatedly stamped in Crushed Curry with the flower from What I love.  The same process colors the chick.  The outline stamp of the flower is stamped along the edges of the Old Olive to add more depth and interest.  The chick is fussy cut and popped up on another chick on the white panel.  I also fussy cut the small flowers before adding them to the banner. This idea came from Brandy's cards. 

Three Panel Greetings

I made these cards using an idea from Connie Stewart.  My favorite of the two used the flourish from Everything Eleanor.  The flowers come from  Birthday Blossoms.  The colors are Soft Sky, Pool Party, and Lost Lagoon.  I embossed the card fronts and popped the panels up on fun foam, then added a little bling.  These were very easy cards to make. The panels measure 1.5 by 3 inches. 

Paper Pieced Roses

I die cut three roses from rose red, melon mambo, and blushing bride and then reassembled them to make these three cards.  It was very time consuming.  The leaves took as long as the roses, and were actually a little harder because they were all such similar sizes.  I used Stick-It as the adhesive. 

I'm not sure who I will send these to so I tried to use a variety of sentiments.  The first card is on white cardstock with a pear pizzazz liner but the other two are very vanilla with wild wasabi.  The leaves use the same two shades of green. 

Sunburst

I used the Sunburst die for this card.  When I first saw this die in the catalog it was not one that appealed to me, but after seeing some examples on Pinterest I decided to give it a try.  I randomly stamped the rays and the background with the flower from What I love in crushed curry.  There is a doily peeking from behind where the rays meet. The butterfly has color sponged on and I added pearls to the body.  I put a few loops of linen thread.  It still seemed to need something so I added my favorite speckles.   

Sympathy card

I adapted a design I found on Pinterest and made this sympathy card. It's always nice to have cards on hand for any occasion.  This card will be ready to go when needed. 

After I made the card I thought it needed something in the lower left corner so added the few drifting leaves.  I like both versions.  The top layers are popped up on foam.  The leaves are Smoky Slate and the circle is cut from the perfectly artistic DSP.

Cards/Folders with Claudia

Claudia had an order for two gift packages of cards.  She came over today and we got busy.  Each folder has six note cards with envelopes.  We used the free SaleABration set What I Love.  The flowers are so easy, you don't really have to worry about lining up the outline image. I did all the stamping and Claudia assembled them.  I used Blushing Bride and Watermelon Wonder.  I used some DSP to make the folder and then decorated a belly band and made a cute tag. 

A few flower cards

These cards used really dark, bold colors.  Not my normal style at all.  I used Cherry Cobbler for the flowers from the What I love stamp set.  The card stock is Mossy Meadow.  I CASED this card and when I make it again I will not add the small brown leaves.  It is just way too busy for me.  I need more white space!  So here is the next card I made---lots of light colors and white space. Here the main colors are Pink Pirouette, Pool Party, and Mint Macaron.  My speckles are Sahara Sand. The leaves are from CASual Fridays but every thing else is Stampin Up.  I added some matching rhinestones. 

Little Debbie Boxes

Look at these cute little boxes.  They hold Little Debbie snack cakes. Each box holds 2 of the little heart shaped cakes. I used scraps of ribbon to tie them, but could have made a belly band with card stock.  I love the detail on the corner made with the new triple corner punch. 

Butterfly Basics

Today I made my cards using the Butterfly Basics stamp set.  I had used the fern before, but this time used most of the set.  They were both CASED from pinterest ideas. The first card is Blushing Bride and Pear Pizzazz with Sahara Sand for the mesh. I used my markers to ink the floral stamp.  I layered the butterfly with a printed vellum and used pink pearls for the body.  The card on the right has Wild Wasabi for the green, and Hello Honey for the mesh.  I used Marina Mist for the butterfly and a bow out of linen thread.  The edges of the card were sponged in Sahara Sand and the speckles are also Sahara Sand, as is the card base. 

Another Rose Wonder card

This is the card I made for my friend, Claudia.  She will be 72!  I used my aqua brush to water color, using pink pirouette and pear pizzazz.  Then the die cut frame of black was added over the top.  I also cut a few leaves out of vellum to layer under the sentiment.

Iris Folding

This is my first attempt at Iris Folding. My friend Claudia taught me.  It's very easy to do, the hardest part is choosing the paper. The center (iris) would have been better as silver foil. 

 

Anniversary Card

This is the final version of my anniversary card for JoAnne and Ed Evans.  I wanted to use the Botanical Builder framelits dies because we used them for the decoration on the party favors.  We used a white flower on gold boxes and they were beautiful.  I used the number framelits for the 50, cutting them out of gold foil.
